Happy Super Fantazmigorical Birthday Harry/Doc Sakal!!
From the first day in Crisis of the Environment class at WPC, I
knew you were a very special teacher. Now all these years later I
know you are a very special man! Willing to share your knowledge
and your friendship, you have an incredible amount of energy and a
great sense of adventure! I'm sure they wrote the Indianna Jones
movies about you!! You also listened to my songs and
encouraged me to work on my music. CoE was one of my first
concert series, who knew?? You are a treasure and I'm so glad to
call you my friend!!
Peace, Love & Blessings

Harry, We just want to wish you all the best on your 90th birthday. You're an inspiration to us aging baby-boomers and give us much hope for the future. May you enjoy 90 more fruitful and healthy years! Rick, Karen, and Alana Fausone
Harry,
Seeing you on our trips to Florida to visit my
parents, the Kramers, always makes the trip more pleasurable. We
always look forward to seeing you.
Our very best wishes on your 90th.

Dear Uncle
Emile,
Hi Dad, Happy Birthday!! I remember as a child we had a birch tree in the front yard of our Massapequa Park home on Van Buren Street. It was really two trees, which had grown into a 'V' shape. One night, you and Fred Pfeifer and someone else went across the street to the woods and dug up this HUGE birch tree and planted it in the dead of night on the front lawn. Who says you weren't daring in those days!! In the morning, some person walking on his way to the train, looked up and saw a tree there, where there hadn't been one the day before. He did the biggest double take!! His reaction was caught by you, and it was a wonderful story you told time and again. You took pictures of Mom and Laura and me in the middle of the V of the tree. It was just the right height for little girls to climb in, and we spent many a day doing just that. Two weeks ago, Glenn and I bought land in Vermont. And, there on the land, was a birch tree which looked just like the one in Massapequa Park. The sky was a bright blue, and the silver of the birch brought the story back vividly. Now, I have my own birch tree. Of course, I'm not planning on transplanting it, but it is in a good spot to take future pictures. Enjoy your birthday, Dad, and many more. With love, Jane and Glenn
Happy Birthday Harry, Hi Dad,
Hope this has been a surprise for most of
the time. You don't know how many times we have wanted to tell you
something cool about the party only to stop in the middle of a thought
and turn 180 degrees to keep from spilling the beans. We all have had a
lot of fun planning this party. I think it's a great accomplishment to
make it to 90 years old and be in such great shape. You are an
inspiration to us all. I appreciate all you have done for me as a
father and a friend. I guess now is the time to finally apologize for
calling you a "little rat" (or was it a "big rat"?) and for accusing you
of not caring about anything but "making money." But you've gotten a
lot of mileage with this material over the years. I hope you enjoy the
party and seeing everyone. Happy Birthday and many more!!!!!
Love, Wawa. John, and Frank
Hell-o-o-o-o-o-o, Harry! HAPPY 90th B-DAY!! You're finally a BONAFIDE
NO-NO!! We've all known you have been one for a long, long time. Now you
can spend all your bountiful energy explaining what you have been for so
long.
HAPPY 90th from the whole Benner
family, HARRY!
Harry Sakal,
The most interesting, discerning, enjoyable person I've had the
good fortune to meet.
Add to this a "gung ho" windsurfer who never turns down a chance
to enjoy this incredible sport.
Enjoy your 90th, Harry, and for sure "I'll see you on the water."
Love and respect,
Walt
Harry is without a doubt, one of the
